Further education

The Clore Leadership Programme

The spiel: “The Fellowship Programme aims to shape emerging creative leaders”

What they fund: The Clore Leadership Fellowships encourage leaders across the creative industries to develop through tailored programmes. There are 25 fellowships per year and they cover specialisms “from archives to theatre production, and including visual and performing arts, film and digital media, heritage, creative industries, museums, libraries and cultural policy”. To apply, you need to have at least five years’ paid work experience.


Creative Process - Creative and Digital Media Apprenticeships

The spiel: “an independent not for profit organisation specialising in apprenticeships.”

What they fund: Creative Process’s Digital Apprentice scheme offers free Level 3 training to non-graduates aged 16-24. Apprentices work a normal job through the week, taking one day to develop skills in a creative field. Qualifications include photography and digital imaging, video production, web design, technical theatre, cultural venues admin and community arts and education.


The Fenton Arts Trust

The spiel: “The Trust … seeks to assist, through grants and bursaries, individuals and groups who are making a worthwhile contribution to the artistic and cultural life of this country.”

What they fund: Three key objectives drive the work of the Fenton Arts Trust as they work to support the careers of advanced students who focus on the arts. The Trust wants to support final year or postgraduate students, help to develop work by individuals starting out their careers and work together with institutions and organisations who are campaigning towards similar aims. In light of these aims, the Trust offers The Fenton Arts Trust Scholarships, bursaries and The Fenton Arts Trust Grants.


The Leverhulme Trust

The spiel: "...providing scholarships for research and education"

The Leverhulme Trust provides funding for those engaged in academic research, across the disciplines. Whether you want to employ a research staff, focus on the Trust's acknowledged themes, study abroad or train in the fine and performing arts, The Leverhulme Trust could offer a scheme for you.
