About me

Jessica Walrond is a professional dance artist based in Woking.

Jess was a member of Surrey Youth Dance Company before graduating from Winchester University after studying Choreography and Dance. During her studies Jess undertook workshops with Bedlam Dance Company, Carol Brown, Jasmin Vardimon Company, Lila Dance and Nu Tempo.
Since leaving University Jess has worked as a freelance dance artist for The Dance Movement, Surrey Arts and Woking Dance Festival. She has performed for Second Hand Dance and teaches for First Dance Studios.
As well as creating movement Jess has a passion for capturing it on film too. Her work has been highly recommended by the Surrey Community Foundation and exhibited at Winchester University.
Currently Jess is the Administrator for Woking Dance Festival, dance teacher at The Willows secondary referral unit and adult class teacher at First Dance Studios.
Jess is also a key member of Surrey Dance Collective, a group of dance practitioners working in Surrey who aim to support, develop and promote professional dance activity in the area.

At the heart of Jess' work are people and places.

Jess is based at The Point, Eastleigh.
