About me

I'm a documentary photographer employing visual language to explore political, psychological, and cultural issues. My work takes inspiration from the history of photography, but also draws heavily on my education (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, University of Oxford) and career in politics (parliamentary researcher; Coventry University) and my training in audio engineering (which informs my multimedia practice). I also produce exhibitions and curate photography and digital media projects.

My work sometimes deals with difficult topics, but I don't claim to have all the answers; just some interesting questions and a strong desire to pursue them.

Always eager to get involved with good ideas, and always looking to grow. Honesty is the best route to getting there. Would much rather grow from good criticism than stagnate in sea of polite praise.

    Just wanted to say I thought there was some fantastic imagery in your porfolio. Loved the b/w jazz stuff but am particularly interested to see how you would juxtapose landscapes with the figures in the Toxteth work. Some of those reminded me a lot of the Cities on the Edge project John Davies curated a few years ago- it would be great to see a more in depth study on specific areas of Liverpool as I felt that was one thing lacking in the CotE.

    Anyway, just my 5 penny worth- good luck with it all :)

    We are looking for a Lighting person to help us on a short film coming v soon. Pls see advert below and do get in touch asap if interested.

    Dexterity Films are looking to shoot their film FRAGILE (approx 3 minutes) on Saturday 29th. The short film is horror based about a woman being followed by a stranger, with a twist at the end. There is no dialogue in the film, it will be visually powerful, with a dramatic impact. We will be looking to put into festivals, screenings in London and the South East and to competitions, especially in horror genre, with a twist at the end.
    There is no dialogue in the film, it will be visually powerful, with a dramatic impact. We will be looking to put into festivals, screenings and competitions in London and the South East.

    We are URGENTLY looking for Crew - several positions:

    Sound person (with basic kit ideally - which we are happy to hire at an acceptable rate)
    DOP/Lighting technician (own equipment is desirable)
    Runner (preferably with car)

    Shooting day is Saturday 29th, in Orpington (33 minutes on the train from Victoria or Charing Cross).

    This is a very low budget project, only expenses are covered (travel, food), but we believe this would be a great opportunity to get experience. Copy of film will be supplied, showreel material, references etc.

    We are all passionate about film making and if you are interested in being part of our project we would love to to hear from you asap.
