Nikki Watson is a creative movement facilitator, choreographer and project manager.

She has worked in inclusive practice for over 7 years and has a passion for bringing dance to all, whether that is through participation, performance or education.

Nikki is currently sole choreographer for CoDa Dance Company. Her artistic vision is to create emotionally engaging work that focuses on highlighting the effects of living with neurological diseases. She has a vested interest in the subject since her mother was diagnosed with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis a number of years ago. She has a strong interest in creating work that is physical and portrays a realistic representation of the effects MS and other neurological diseases have on people living with the disease, their families and caregivers.

Nikki also choreographs on CoDa Youth Company, giving young students additional technique and performance opportunities.

Developing a choreographic voice for creating work that has a social commentary, Nikki has most recently been commission by the Pump House Gallery to create a piece of physical theatre that reflects on the life behind the fashion industry. Other recent commissions include Wandsworth Arts, University o f Roehampton and Heart of the Jester Productions.

Alongside this Nikki is a Company Director for Green Shoes Arts Community Interest Company where her key role is to develop long term, sustainable funding for projects for people living with mental health issues. She is also responsible for developing and maintaining the youth dance company that focuses on workshops, performances and Arts Award Accreditation.
