Scientist-turned-magician Kevin McMahon trained with magicians Penn and Teller in Vegas ten years ago and now works as a magician in Edinburgh. He is in the Guinness Book of World Records, was nominated at the Scottish Comedy Awards and is founder and Artistic Director of the UK's largest magic event, The Edinburgh International Magic Festival (www.magicfest.co.uk).

His most recent show, a collaborative work over three years called 'The Colour Ham', brought together physical comedy, magic, illusion and mentalism. The show received five star reviews and was commissioned by Radio 4 show 'Sketchorama' after different versions appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

His new show Into the Impossible explores the space where science and magic meet and interact and sometimes explode. It will première at the Edinburgh International Science Festival in April 2015.

He's consulted for National Theatre of Scotland, various movies and documentaries and currently is working with "Shona Reppe Puppets" on her new show.
