Iskandar is a professional theatre-maker, devisor and actor and current Artistic Director of Ellandar Productions; a cross-platform independent production company based in Perth, Western Australia and London. Iskandar is the 2014 recipient of the Soho Young Writer's Award for his play 'The Life of Cardboard' and a resident artist for the Department of Education & Community with the White Hart Studios Project.

In 2013 Iskandar directed the original song-cycle 'Suggestions of Love' at the King's Head Theatre, presented a work-in-progress 'Three Women' at the Women In The Arts Festival curated by So & So Arts Club & Tristan Bates Theatre and screened his experimental short film 'The Life of Cardboard' at the Barbican Centre for the Framed Film Festival.

Iskandar continues to curate the artistic programming of Ellandar Productions in Australia as the Artistic Director and Exec. Producer. In 2014 the company presented the world premiere of a new play 'The Night Guardian' at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art (Western Australia) in association with The Blue Room Theatre and with support from Stages W.A & Playwriting Australia. The company featured new work at the inaugural independent theatre festival of Western Australia and transferred the Sydney Theatre Co. / Griffin Theatre Co. play 'Concussion' by Ross Mueller to the West Coast of the country for the first time.

Iskandar has a rich and broad understanding of his practice and is a versatile artist and gifted arts administrator.
