About me

Sonali Bhattacharyya has written extensively across theatre, radio, and television. Her theatre commissions include the South Bank Show Award nominated White Open Spaces, (2007, Pentabus Theatre), A Thin Red Line (2008, Birmingham Rep, Kali Theatre and Black Country Touring), and These Four Streets (Birmingham Rep, 2009). Her work for radio includes numerous episodes of the BBC Asian Network’s Silver Street, and BBC plays such as India-lite, Two Men in the Fog, It's Coming Home and Ping Pong. She completed the BBC Writers’ Academy in 2008 and has written episodes for Doctors, Eastenders, Holby City and Casualty. She is a graduate of the MA Screenwriting programme at the London College of Communications. Sonali is represented by Julia Mills at Berlin Associates.
