About me

Georgina Hurcombe began her career working in Dubai Media City, UAE, for a variety of TV and film production companies. She also worked extensively as a co-ordinator for Gulf News the UAEs leading news distributor and newspaper.Georgina returned to the UK where she studied and graduated at Bournemouth University in the BA (Hon’s) Television Production degree.

Throughout her following career, Georgina has produced and co-produced a number of Multi media productions including: Music videos , Animations, award winning short films, educational shorts, Adverts factual programmes and documentaries Including Channel 4 4Doc funded documentary 'I Won't Go' (Director/Producer).

In 2007 Georgina joined WLF as a producer and head of documentary talent for WLDocs for over two years. Georgina has lead educational projects funded by organizations including Creative England, V, Media Box, South West Screen and various UK National Lottery distributors. In 2008 Georgina was project leader of Lottery/MediaBox funded project 'Pier Pressure' which Won the Media Innovation award)

In 2010 Georgina Set up Multi Media production company Lovelove Films (www.lovelovefilms.com) The company is based in The Enterprise Pavilion on the Arts University Bournemouth (AUCB) campus In Poole Dorset UK which pipelines and nurtures new talent from both BU and AUCB whilst producing diverse,innovative and cross media content. Lovelove Films have created a number of exciting and innovative projects for artists such as Joss Stones (The High Road Music Video). An Interactive music video/games for music artists Gabby Young and 2D/ Live action music video ' Not Guilty' for band Yes sir Boss.

In 2012 Georgina produced a 360 degree music video 'Nudge' for artist Momotempo which played as part of the 2012 Olympic Maritine Mix in Weymouth. This video was funded by EU/ Creative England and part of INET. LoveLove Films also creates interactive animations, stop motion, games, adverts for a range of clients. Additionally the company has two animated short films in production, a feature film in development as well as a number of HD TV factual entertainment pilots. In 2010 LoveLove created 'Taste the passion' in 48 hours an advert for Pepsi Cola competition KingOf Ads which came within in the top 10 of over 2000 applicants and was aired on T4.

As well as working as a Producer and managing Lovelove Films Georgina has taught production skills to a array of young people from diverse backgrounds and groups Including young offenders, people with learning difficulties and the elderly encouraging the next generation film makers. Georgina founded ‘Bridging The Gap’ with V, Age UK and HSBC bank which educated young people on this issues of elderly care and isolation through Documentary film making. Georgina was voted and a runner up in Volunteer of the year awards both in her local area and was nominated within the V inspired awards .

Georgina was also festival manager of Future Shorts Bournemouth and organised for industry experts to attend on panel. Experts included DP Roger Pratt (Harry Potter, Troy) , DP Ashley Rowe (Calender girls) , Director Ian Softley (Hackers) Editor Tony Palmer (the killing of John Lenon) The event was presented by Joel Dommet (MTV) and Sarah Sole (Rush) and attracted over 600 guests .

    Please have a look at our page and join us if you would like to be involved in our collective - we are currently applying for the groups fund and need a couple more people to join our group so that we are eligible.

    To become a member of The Change Collective you must be either an artists working in social change, an activist who uses creative approaches to social change or a graduate with a related degree.

    As a member you will gain access to:

    An extensive network or artists/facilitators working in social development
    Free and concessionary-rate training run by The Change Collective in a range of creative approaches to development
    Skill-share and Best-practice Groups who will support you in your own professional development in social change.
    Assistance with project development including help with accessing funding streams and gaining support with project management.

    Through regular members meetings, you'll be encouraged to:

    Explore social issues of concern and raise public awareness of these issues
    Collaborate with other members to devise and perform innovative works of art/ artistic actions to affect social change
    Develop national and international development projects
