My name is Emmaalouise Smith, I am a film-maker and photographer living in London. I am a trained cinematographer and overall image collector. I have spent the past few years working on commissions and my own projects and have worked as curator for a number of film events in the East of London, including; the Short Film Sessions at the Rich Mix, and an event for the East End Film Festival called 'My Obsolete Future.' Whilst graduating I won a BSC Cinematography award and have used the recognition to continue my visual work since. I am a self-taught practitioner and spend a lot of time experimenting with traditional techniques, I hand-process my own film stock and print my own photographic images in a colour darkroom.
