About me

I am an emerging theatre Director currently reading English & Drama at Queen Mary, University of London. I bring challenging and daring aims to my own direction that, with close focus on text and theatrical form, has so far proved successful in the rehearsal room.

At the age of 17, I founded a community theatre company called Black Waves. Directing the musical ‘All Shook Up’, which involved the local youth of Berwick Upon Tweed, I facilitated many emerging actors, designers and producers in gaining valuable experience. We worked to an exceptional standard as young dramaturges, performing at the Maltings Theatre & Cinema, and afterwards donating the entirety of our over £1000 profit to Cancer Research UK.

I am now the Co-Artistic Director of Dogs Of War Theatre, a London- based contemporary company who strive to wreak havoc with traditional conventions, tear apart form and experiment with immersive styles.

Many of our productions fall under the banner of ‘area-specific’, a new form we have created that is an extension of traditional site-specific theatre, as we are not focused solely on venue but also the surrounding area.

‘Area-specific’ is a new form we have created, an extension of traditional site-specific theatre, as we are not focused solely on venue but also the surrounding area. With emphasis on area over venue, this allows us to connect closely with surrounding communities by running workshops, inviting locals in to collaborate with us, and incorporating the interesting stories hidden in the ashes of London’s past.
