We are an accidental company.

We met through a National Theatre Studio workshop in June 2014, created a piece in four hours, presented this and decided that we didn't all hate each other. This piece went on to be developed by and performed at the opening of the Dorfman Theatre festival 'Space To Create' for the National Theatre in September 2014. It involved an uncoordinated punch up and some serious competitiveness.

We are not a traditional company. Two of us are actresses, one is a performance artist and another is a writer. We are interested in failure, but we live in a society that celebrates triumphalism, that wants art that reaffirms itself and see characters win. We like to make sure we always lose. Our work takes a sledgehammer to expectations and preconceived notions. We don't have any methods. We don't have characters or scripts. We work collaboratively to explore ideas around identity, the underpinnings of consciousness and theatrical expectations. Sometimes this is with a banana. Sometimes its through being naked. Either way we're not going to be winning Olivier's anytime soon for emotional out pour.
