Spoken Word Artist SGJP describes the difficulty of being a black women in modern society and the women we could look to through her spoken word piece. The young spoken word artist looks at the physical appearance, culture, education and general stereotypes of young black women in the UK. The poem was written as part of the blog More Than Melanin.

The project looks at problems facing black people in Britain, peoples experiences, black women, role models, and a bit of the history about black people in history in the UK.
