I am a Midlands based costume assistant/designer/maker currently working as a costume assistant in theatre and television, and also pursuing work in film. Having worked with such companies as the Welsh National Opera, Birmingham Royal Ballet, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Matthew Bourne Dance Company and Cameron Mackintosh Ltd as both a dresser and wardrobe maintenance assistant I have recently become a freelancer and am also a member of BECTU. As well as having an extensive career in theatre I have also recently worked as a costume assistant with the BBC.
I am also pursuing a professional acting career and have performed at a number of charitable events and concerts at venues such as Birmingham NEC, Town Hall and the Crescent Theatre helping to raise money for World Aids Day and the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, as well as having appeared regional musicals, including Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Chess, Fiddler on the Roof, and Guys and Dolls. Music is extremely important to me - especially singing - but I also find that it manages to find its way into almost every aspect of my life!!

As a writer I am a published poet, and have dabbled in art critique, however my passion is for fiction writing and I am currently writing my first novel and one woman play, as well as a collection of short stories, in my spare time.

I am currently in the early planning stages of setting up my own small business selling my own hand made arts and crafts and am very much looking forward to this new venture, which I hope will be a valuable learning curve from which I may learn and continue to grow as an artist!
