My name is Dania Ratiba and I thrive on both poetry and music.

I have always been heavily influenced by both literature and music; I intend in my poetry to evoke a sense of musicality and spirituality within the language, it is something I like the reader to feel and enjoy. It is also key for me in nearly all of my work to have an element of abstract and the ethereal within my imagery as those create depth and qualities that I seek out in art and believe are important as they give the reader layers to explore.

My main skills lie in translation, editing and creative writing, I am fairly fluent in Arabic; having spent a couple of years in Syria learning the langauge. I've translated a couple of articles previously and hold an A-C at GCSE level.

I've also been published in Prototype(a Staffordshire based arts magazine) a couple of times and am currently working on a poetry collection with the Urban Arts Centre which I hope to have published around November.
