The Cast of UEA Drama Dept's 'Arcadia' by Sir Philip Sidney (2013)

This last semester at uni I have been involved in the mammoth task of adapting Sir Philip Sidney's 'The Old Arcadia' (an Elizabethan novel) into an Elizabethan play to rival even The Bard. My role is this module - Third Year Production - has been as both an Adapter/Editor (working tirelessly with a small group of writers to turn the prose into dialogue, and on endless drafts and redrafts of Arcadia) and also as an actor, tackling the role of Philanax

I'm a writer from Cov with an interest in all things performance art.

Studied Scriptwriting and Performance at UEA, graduating in June 2014 with a 2:1

Whilst at Uni:

Wrote short pieces for UEA Drama Society's 'Spotlight' 2013 and Minotaur Theatre Company's 'Shorts' 2012

Was invited to become a participant of the Word Up -Engine Room Project at The Garage Theatre Norwich in February 2013; a semester of mentoring and writing workshops culminating in the production of a full-length script.

Co-Wrote and Directed The Snow Queen, for The Minotaur Theatre Company at The Garage Theatre, Norwich May 2014

Since Graduating:

Won a Writer's Centre Norwich Brief, and performed poetry at Latitude Festival 2014

Shortlisted for Theatre Renegade's 'Courting Drama' brief on IdeasTap (December 2014) with 'The Wizard Wants to Know'

Currently a regular reviewer for StageTalk magazine

My play Whiskey Charlie (formerly The Wizard Wants to Know) is being produced by HippoCrypt Theatre to be performed on the 20th and 21st March at Cafe Kino, Bristol
