A little bit about me: At the moment, I am studying for an MA in Literature and Philosophy at the University of Sussex, having been awarded AHRC funding for the whole year. Before deciding to pursue an MA, I was studying a BA in English Literature at Sussex too.

Throughout my time as an undergraduate, I developed a deep interest in everything artistic whether it was drawing, editing or writing. I worked for Sussex's dramatic society, SUDS, by writing and directing a short play. I also have worked for the student newspaper as a reporter, an Arts Editor, and now, as an illustrator. Academically, I was also awarded funding to research the local and eccentric poet, Edward James, who was a patron to famous Surrealists such as Dali and Magritte.

My influences include: Ralph Steadman, Kellie Strom, Edward Lear, George Grosz, 18th century satirists and zoological engravings, William Blake, Emily Carroll, Victor Ngai, Pauliina Hannuniemi, Scott Wills and Rob Sato, dystopian, sci-fi and satirical fiction (or nonfiction!) and apocalyptic/fantasy RPG video games.

When I'm not drawing I can be found in the library working on essays, reading or drinking hot chocolate.
