'Play @ the Water Poet' is a night to present emerging artists. We show short films, short plays and music. We are interested in hearing from everyone and everyone is welcome. It is £4 and promises to be a fun and talent filled night. It's a great place to meet others in your field, as well as enjoy a few drinks at the Water Poet!

About me

I am a dramaturg and literary manager (it wasn't in the options sadly ergo I went with 'other') based in London. I am currently doing a placement with the Theatres Trust and am looking forward to learning lots about theatre structures, management and fundraising. I recently ran a night for emerging artists 'Play @ the Water Poet', read scripts for 'The Space' and for the 'King's Cross New Writing'. Sometimes my eyes get really tired!! I worked for a theatre company in Toronto, Canada, as well as for a few different playwrights in U.K, Ireland, U.S. and Canada. I did an internship at the Royal Court, and loved it there. I have been working in theatre for several years (also working as a waitress, shop girl, teacher etc. to pay bills... you know the way) and am currently excited about writing a children's book.
