Sky Arts Ignition: Futures Fund – What you need to know

The second Sky Arts Ignition: Futures Fund brief closes on 24 February 2012. If you’re thinking of applying, make sure you read this…

Don’t leave it to the last minute

Whatever you do, don’t leave your application until the last day. We’re expecting a high volume of traffic on 24 February, so if you have any questions about your application or encounter technical difficulties at that late stage, we may well not be able to help. If you leave it to the last minute you do so at your own risk…

Sky Arts seminars

To help with your application, Sky Arts is holding a series of Futures Fund Seminars  in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin between 23 November and 14 December. Spaces are limited to 100 per event, so book yours now.

Your personal creative development

Remember, you must apply for the fund as an individual, not a company. We understand that many creatives work with companies, but this particular fund is for your own artistic development – not that of the company. Make it clear in your application how the money will help your personal creative development.

Upload work to your IdeasTap portfolio

Make sure you have included links to your work in your IdeasTap portfolio (not your personal website), and that portfolio sets are clearly labelled. There’s no point applying if you don’t have supporting work in your portfolio – looking at your body of work is a crucial part of the judging process.

Read the Terms and Conditions. Seriously!

Most importantly, you MUST read the Terms & Conditions. Download them now and read carefully. Yes, we know they’re boring, but even small mistakes can make your application ineligible.

Finally… good luck!
