This Monday IdeasTap is heading to the London Coliseum for some free workshops and backstage careers advice. It’s the TheatreCraft annual event for young people looking to work behind the scenes in the theatre, from techies to producers. We’ll be there and you’re all invited…
This Monday backstage is taking centre stage.
TheatreCraft is a unique event designed to give anyone from aspiring casting directors to stage managers the chance to learn from industry experts. And all for free.
The only criteria is that you are aged 17 to 25, so whether you’re after one-on-one careers advice or a follow-spot workshop, TheatreCraft is giving everyone a taste of the limelight.
There’ll be tips from production professionals including director Charlie Westenra – fresh from The 24 Hour Plays: Old Vic New Voices – and Jeremy Woodhouse, General Manager at Theatre 503. Theatre Critic’s Mark Shenton will talk about becoming a critic and LAMDA is giving an introduction to stage management.
Even the English National Opera wig team will be there.
And of course so will IdeasTap. We are sharing a stall with our partners The National Youth Theatre in the central “marketplace” where you can sample the wares of experts from all areas of the industry and grab some free careers advice. So come and say hello to the team.
To find out more and to book your workshops visit the TheatreCraft website.
