The IdeasTap community is growing quicker than any of us could ever anticipate. Here, we round up some of the amazing work by our committed members…
Here at IdeasTap HQ, keeping abreast of all the creative goings-on is more than a full-time job. Our thousands of members keep on producing amazing work, be it drama, photography, dance or film, off the back of IdeasTap funding, before going to work for some of the biggest and best creative companies going. Here are some highlights…
Amy Powell Yeates
On top of having about four jobs in film and theatre, including a stint as the press officer for the Sheffield Doc/Fest, Amy Powell Yeates is about to start as the administration officer at the Young Vic. She has just produced The Queen of Spades, currently on show at the Arcola theatre in Dalston with her founding company Fusebox Productions, described by The Stage as being “a world of madness and intrigue.”
Lucy Field
A dancer, choreographer and dance coach who has worked, among others, with Dance Xchange's Bare Bones and the Richard Alston Dance Company, Lucy Field received funding from IdeasTap’s Wellbeing Fund for her new online contemporary dance TV series Inside Dance. Watching the show being put together through her regular Facebook and Twitter updates is seriously exciting, and we can’t wait to see the finished product.
Joe Murphy
Joe works as the artistic director for nabakov Theatre company. Dedicated to creating and performing work that responds immediately to what’s going on in the world, nabakov is one of the most talked-about companies in theatre circles.
Joe recently completed a stint as the Resident Director for the West End run of Ghost Stories, which played out at the Duke of York’s Theatre, West End.
Roxanne Peak-Payne
An experienced theatre producer, Roxanne Peak-Payne has also just produced The Lights at The Spring theatre in Vauxhall, London, and recently started to work as the Administration Officer at IdeasTap partner’s Old Vic New Voices.
Naomi O'Leary
After doing a sterling job as our Edinburgh reporter, former freelance journalist Naomi O'Leary has just started working at Reuters, where her reporting on the frontline of the Occupy protest has been a regular feature on the newswires.
Brett Stephen Smith
Actor, producer and journalist Brett Stephen Smith was one of the winners of our Wellbeing brief with his fantastic Lifestyle Challenge, in which he offers to give away £600 to the healthiest IdeasTap member. Currently verging on 200,000 activity points, his hard work is paying off. Watch this space.
