Patricia graduated from the MA (Hons) Theatre Studies program at the University of Glasgow, with a focus on directing and dance theatre in 2012. Whilst studying she assisted on A Companhia do Chapitô’s production of Edipus in summer 2011. Patricia has a passion for dance and physical theatre and site specific performance and was involved in a Butoh influenced performance as part of Elation at St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art in Glasgow and in pvi collective’s Deviator performed in Glasgow city centre as part of Surge 2012. Patricia is now based in Teesside and has just participated in Swallows Foundation UK Winter School 2013 in South Africa working with a group of artists from the North East, Scotland and the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Patricia was participant in the Standing Stones residency in Glasgow with On The Stage Of The Present exploring the themes of ‘Seeing’ and ‘Being Seen’ through improvisation and multidisciplinary arts practice. In summer 2013 she performed in Women, Power and Politics as part of Springboard at Northern Stage and was a giraffe in Compagnie Off’s Les Girafes the SIRF finale.Patricia was involved in the research and development and performance of Seadog Productions Sea of Stories and choreographed the dance and acrobatics used. She has lead one of the monthly Dance Hub sessions at Stockton Arc and was a guest teacher for My Dance. She is currently researching strategies for choreographing and physicalizing dramatic texts in performance. She also has an interest in how the body itself can be inspiration for making work and how yoga can aid dance training and performance.
