I am a composer, musical director and animateur based in Manchester, UK. I studied at both the University of Manchester and Royal Northern College of Music winning numerous prizes at both institiutions. My music has been performed all over the country including by players from London Symphony Orchestra, soprano Sarah Leonard and I have participated in workshops with the BBC Singers, Britten Sinfonia and players from the Manchester Camerata.

My output is eclectic ranging from contemporary works for the concert hall to musical theatre and music for non-professionals through to site-specific and participant led installations. I am co-director of 'Collectives & Curiosities' with whom we are finishing on the prestigious LSO Soundhub scheme, and co-founder and musical director of 'New Space Productions' who's restaurant based musical 'Indigestion' has had performances throughout the UK including The Lowry Restaurant in Salford Quays and Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, London as part of the tete a tete opera festival. Both these groups specialising in site-specific and non traditional modes of performance.

As a choral conductor I am one of the first recipients of Sing for Pleasure's Young Conductor's bursary and am currently conducting Cantare ladies choir of Rochdale and the Greater Manchester Police Male Voice Choir (GMPMVC) as well as working for Rochdale Music Service and Middleton Parish Primary School.

As an animateur I have worked for Birmingham Contemporary Music Group (BCMG), BBC Philharmonic, Opera North, London Symphony Orchestra and have taught composition at Junior RNCM and King's School Macclesfield.
