Glasgow Film Festival - Meet the Programmer!

21/02/15 at 19:44

Sea without Shore will be premiering at Glasgow Film Festival on 28th February! Ian Canning, the programmer of Glasgow Film Festival recently mentioned Sea without Shore....

Tell me about your contribution to this year’s GFF.

There’s so many films and events I’m excited about this year, it’s hard to whittle them down.

Sea Without ShoreI want everyone to go see Sea Without Shore. It’s an incredible film in our Crossing the Linestrand, which follows the end of a relationship and the different ways of expressing grief. It incorporates physical theatre and dance to tell its story, with beautiful photography and a haunting score (sound designed by Glenn Freemantle and scored by The Hafler Trio) which develop into characters in the story in their own right. A totally rewarding watch and absolutely worth your time. Also, Stray Dog is a fantastic documentary by Debra Granik, her third time in the director’s chair after Down To The Bone and Winter’s Bone, following Ronnie ‘Stray Dog’ Hall’s life in a biker gang the heart of America. A touching piece of a good man who refuses to stereotype or marginalize."

Ian Canning, can't wait to meet you at GFF next week! After the premiere of Glasgow, Sea without Shore will be screening in London! Check out www.seawithoutshore-themovie.com to find out more information
