My name is Joni-Rae Carrack and I am part performer, part puppeteer and part storyteller.

I am a theatre-maker, collaborator, teacher and consultant. If it’s got puppetry in it, I'm in.

I like making a lot of my own work and I like collaborating with other artist to make the bet theatre I can.

My work is interdisciplinary and so far I have puppeteered in opera, autobiographical pieces and storytelling.

My work tackles tough issues as mental illness and the impact of the Holocaust

I work with children, young adults and older people.

I make puppetry with Chutzpah – it’s the sort of puppetry that punches you in the feels

I likes all puppets but I'm most acquainted with table-top and shadow puppetry

I use puppetry to do the things and say the things that I'm a little afraid to do on my own
