About me

Jo Jo Lam is a film-maker and cinematographer. Originally from Hong Kong, she has lived and worked in Australia and currently resides in London.

Lam has been in film from the age of 16 when, in Melbourne, she discovered and studied cinema and all things visual. For her, cinema presents opportunities to gain insight without boundaries and relate narratives from different parts of the world. Her experience of diverse cultures reflects strongly in her work, from photography through short films and video art.

Story-telling is the most important objective in her work and she is most interested in exploring her themes with a mixture of video and photography, merging traditional cinema with art-film.

She is a part of the Rofaida Zaid Gallery (RZG Gallery) which is primarily based in Paris. Her video art piece "Naked" was exhibited as part of the Inauguration of the gallery, in August 2012.
