Starman follows the story of Eric, a young man who compares his sense of alienation to an astronaut floating in space -- until he comes to the aid of a suicidal woman, Christine.

An experimental piece made for my university course. Filmed footage in 1080p. Using final cut pro, I played around with inverting colours and channels. Exporting that, I datamoshed the result using avidemux2_qt4. Burning that to dvd, I run the product through a device I had created for this project, which distorts composite video signals through external audio. The finished product will be projected at the exhibition on Friday in Plymouth, this video is an example of what the general public will be able to experience. I made the music myself using a Korg Emx1, as always. The hypnotic intro was made using the major chords running through a sine wave. A pitch shift set to one ocative above, a BPM delay set to 1/16, and a deep modulation delay set to 3/16 create the droning sound of the intro. That same sound is then run through a high level of distortion, adding a modulated sine wave to create the pulsing sound, the outro is create by changing the pitch of the original sound rapidly. Apologies for the ending of this video, it wasn't intentional. Big thank you to every who participated.
