Jake Sleet (previously Warren) is an award-winning Director that's performed that role for 4Talent, The Chemistry Group and the National Youth Film Academy (twice, having been selected for the inaugural course, and then hired for a second film (and offered a third Summer 2013)). This year, he was selected to direct a film under the guidance of Branko Lustig at the Jewish Film Festival, whereby all bar one of his crew and crew were Croatian, as well as the film itself being told in that language.

Jake graduated from university in 2011 with First Degree Honours in Film Production Technology BSc; his final year piece on said course, 'In This Style', which he wrote, directed and produced, was put forward for a Royal Television Society award by the uni, won a Best Shorts' Award of Excellence in California and opened the horror section of NFFTY 2012*

His niche is narrative works wrapped in an eccentric, quite warped nutshell; telling stories that you don't tend to find being told elsewhere. This approach probably makes me quite a 'Marmite' Director, but I would rather leave an impression either way than have people watch the piece and form no opinion of it.


*Further awards include getting Bronze place for the zombie film, 'Hospital Resurrection', in Student Filmmakers' Magazine Summer Shorts, a world-wide competition in which the first two places went to residents of Israel and New York respectively.
