"I can't take my ears off her" Benjamin Zephaniah

Hollie McNish is a published UK poet and spoken word workshop leader based in the East of England. She has released two poetry albums, Touch and Push Kick, both to critical acclaim with the latter prized for contributions to maternal research by the University of London. In 2012 she published her first written collection, Papers, with Greenwich Exchange, London. She has appeared in venues as diverse as Glastonbury festival, Ronnie Scotts Jazz Bar, London’s Southbank Centre and Cambridge University. She won the 2009 UK Poetry Slam and finished third in the World Slam du Monde, Paris, has been featured on Radio 4’s Poetry Diaries, Women’s Hour and BBC 2 and has recently completed a poetry residency in Mons, Belgium. In 2011 she was commissioned by Radio 4's Woman's Hour to write and perform a poem for the opening programme of the Southbank Centre's Woman of the World Festival.

She works performing, writing and running education poetry programmes and workshops and is part of the Point Blank Poets Collective alongside Deanna Rodger, Dean Atta, Sabrina Mahfouz, Bridget Minamore and Chimene Suleyman.
