Post Production on The First Musketeer

Behind the Scenes with 'The Pilgrim" on set of The First Musketeer

I'm currently in the post production stage of my new webseries "The First Musketeer" at Encore Post in Soho, and it feels like we're a long way away from the series conception, around three years ago.

Everything is ticking along nicely, and I've been very fortunate to have receieve support from some amazing people and companies, and it's so close to it's release. The unfortunate thing is that when you're operating on a shoestring budget you have to be very patient with those who are offering their time for free, and this means that the already lengthy process of producing a film becomes even longer.

I am somewhat of a perfectionist, and this doesn't make the process any quicker. I have overseen every detail of this production from the fabric in the costumes to the music for the score, and my biggest challenge was to work out how to push for the best without destroying morale. My gratitude for those who have dedicated their time sits in the back of my mind, and keeps me aware of how much I owe the team. But in the end I would rather the project take a long time to release, if it means releasing the best version of the series. After all, only a fool would give up three years of their time just to give up on the home stretch.
