I am a freelance theatre director based predominantly in the South West, where I am Associate Director of the Rondo Theatre, Bath. In 2012 I co-created Homespun: an Anglo-Scottish partnership specialising in the adaptation and re-telling of old folk tales. Our recent production of 'East of the Sun, West of the Moon' received 5 stars from Fest, 4 in the Scotsman, and was included in several kids 'hit lists' at the Edinburgh Fringe.

I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where I won the Elsa Roberts Prize for Directing. During the course I was assistant director on a number of projects, including Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory (with director Andrew Hilton) and at the Bath Literary Festival (with director Marilyn Imrie). I directed my own production of 'Someone Who'll Watch Over Me' (**** Venue Magazine, **** WhatsOnStage), which then transferred to London's Courtyard Theatre Studio in July 2010.

Recently I have worked more with universities and drama schools - directing text projects with second and final year students at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, directing '13' for the University of Cumbria (where I will return to direct 'A Dream Play' and 'Our Country's Good' in 2014) and, currently, 'Orpheus Descending' for Bath Spa University.
