For several years I was a self-taught Producer in an amateur world in France when I decided to take it to another level. I was in London in 2009 working as Production Assistant and Set Designer Assistant on various shows and confirmed my bug for making shows happen.

I graduated from my MA in Creative Producing for Theatre and Live Performance at Birkbeck University of London in 2011.

After producing the play 'The Firewatchers' written by Laura Stevens and directed by Katie Lewisn at the Old Red Lion in Angel in November 2011, I remained Associate Producer with Raising Silver Theatre Company, a company committed to bringing new writing with a political and female emphasis to the stage.

I've also worked as Production Assistant at Daily Life Ltd, led by international artist Bobby Baker working on the themes of mental illness and the Arts. I assisted in the production of her performance of "Mad meringues" at the Liberty Festival in Southbank in September 2011.

In their first season, I worked as Theatre Manager at The Yard until late 2011, a buzzing temporary café/bar/theatre in Hackney Wick where new artists and companies get to develop their work in a risk-taking venue. This was definitely an experience I want to pursue.

Further to this I produced a site-specific performance called "Circles" in May 2012 written by Beverly Andrews and directed by Vik Sivalingam. This project told five different stories all loosely related to AIDS and got a small Research and Development grant from the Arts Council.

In November 2012 I produced "Khadija is 18" written by Shamser Sinha and directed by Tim Stark at the Finborough Theatre. Shamser won the Pearson Playwright Award for it and the play got many raves reviews in Time Out, The Times, The Evening Standard and others.

I am now working at the fantastic Salisbury Arts Centre with a great team. A venue which brings new artists and new events each day of the week: world music, theatre, film, opera, puppetry, craft workshops, dance, conferences and post show chats. There I get to meet new artists and clients everyday, set up the logistics of an event from A to Z, work with my team of technicians, manage my volunteers and bar staff and oversee the smooth run of every night.

I am drawn to projects which have soul, which try to get a message across; projects which are politically and/or socially engaged, and which get creative minds together to make it work. I want and have been able to produce shows I believe in and which have either an aesthetics or a message I am seduced by. I happily give it my energy, time and commitment. No counting.

In the long run, I'd like to create and manage my own venue and produce new work.

In the meantime I am eager to get as much experience in the performing arts industry as a producer and an events manager and operator.

This year out of many great memories, I will keep in mind the puppetry show "Finding Joy" by Vamos theatre, the amazing sound on stage of "We will be absorbed" by Spiro and the fantastic energy of the ska-punk group Imperial Leisure.
Also, the mind-blowing performance of Sonya Cassidy in "Mucky Kid" at Theatre 503 and the wonderful discovery of folk-british duo Eyes for Gertrude.
If 2014 is as nourishing as 2013....Bring it on!
