I'm currently developing Dream On (a theatre production) into a feature film. For the last 6 months I have been directing this LGBT themed play 'Dream On' under Dream Avenue Productions ( see www.dreamavenue.co.uk ) which has had a sell out tour to the Lantern Theatre Liverpool on the 8th and 9th of July, after sell out performances in Manchester. The show is a coming of age love story about two boys who meet on a holiday camp-site in Wales During the 1980's and plan to run away from their dysfunctional families together.

Synopsis : The course of true love does not run smoothly for two young lads in Normans Cozy Welsh campsite in the mid 80s. Paul, an innocent northerner from Rochdale, meets George, a jack the lad, nervy young man from London. Paul has come on holiday with his domineering mum Denise and her attempts to control him, though comic, throw him further into thrall with George. Both teenagers start to fall in love and dream of escape but their dreams go through many ups and downs. If they think running away is going to be easy theyd better.....Dream On.

We are currently developing the show into a feature film with wiginabox productions and the film is aimed at our target audience ( young lgbts and 14-25 year olds)

The show has been described as something completely refreshing in the genre of gay theatre, as it reaches out to both older and younger LGBT audiences(14+) and also has something to offer for everyone gay or not, with relate-able themes and diverse characters running throughout the piece . I wanted to write a gay love story which gives hope to young LGBT audiences that doesn't dwell on negative aspects attached generally to plays of a gay nature ( such as drug addiction , HIV, tragic endings etc).

The show has received fantastic reviews from our Manchester run, and we also received a feature spot on BBC radio which I have attached as an MP3.

We are really excited about turning the show into a film and have provisional shooting dates ( Feb and March 2012) Producer Luke Moss is attached to produce the film and all the cast are ready to begin filming.

We hope to showcase the film at: Student Pride ( The Uk's biggest student gay event) , LGBT youth screenings including GYRO Liverpool, Schools, BFI LGFF.
