I am the frontman/singer-songwriter for the folk-indie band, Holy Moly and the Crackers. I am also their PR manager and assistant tour manager / booking agent. The outfit signed to Northern Lights record label in Jan. 2012 and released their debut album 'First Avenue' described as an "explosive combination of creativity, originality and talent" (Bright Young Folk) on 1st Oct. 2012. Beforehand, I was granted a 1st Class Degree from Warwick University in English and Creative Writing in 2011. I specialised in poetry, but also studied in academia, journalism, non-fiction and fiction. I am a trained artist (drawing/illustration) and actor. I have run creative writing workshops in secondary schools (CRB checked) and teach acoustic guitar/folk songwriting/singing one-on-one. I am a member of NAWE (National Association of Writers in Education). My poetry has been published nationally (Ink - Warwick University, Material - Newcastle University, Other Poetry, Iota) and internationally (Monash University, Australia).

Inspirational and influential figures would include, Tom Waits, Woody Guthrie, Ted Hughes, Derek Walcott, Samuel Beckett, Albrecht Durer.

I am based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and am currently enjoying the rich cultural scene that it has to offer.
