I'm an independent dance manager and producer - and a photographer - based in London. I've got a somewhat diverse range of skills, which I've acquired over the years, from parallel careers in IT and in dance, including running Cloud Dance Festival since 2007.

My work in IT involved web design (among other things) and a lot of proofreading and copywriting, which I've since been using with Cloud Dance Festival as editor of a very active team of reviewers - including a lot of reviewing. I'm also one of the professional judges on the dance panel for the Olivier Awards.

The bulk of my experience has come from running 12 successful festivals for Cloud Dance Festival, and when you're the only person available, that covers absolutely everything, from marketing, publicity, business planning, design, organising exhibitions, producing and managing budgets to copywriting and editorial - as well as everything else which crops up! Since going freelance in 2012, I've added to that by working with a diverse range of emerging companies, both within the dance industry and in other art forms.

I've joked that being freelance means chatting to lots of people, so I've also been conducting several strands of research, and planning a series of courses and workshops based on the issues I hear raised by so many dance artists.
