About me

I'm a Glasgow based Theatrical Producer with a passion for performance in its many forms. I have proven skills in taking ideas from conception to completion, and in a host of different styles, scales and forms.

I was recently employed by Edinburgh-based theatre companies Plutôt La Vie and Strange Theatre as producer of a major Scottish tour of a new play entitled Couldn't Care Less. The piece charted the joys and frustrations of caring for someone with Alzheimer's, touring to 13 venues all over the country as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival and Luminate: Scotland's Creative Ageing Festival. In this role, I was solely responsible for the project's budget, logistical arrangements between the company and venues, company management and for executing an effective marketing strategy.

I currently act as personal assistant to Tony and Olivier award winning director of ONCE and BLACK WATCH John Tiffany and Olivier Award winning choreographer of BLACK WATCH, ONCE and AMERICAN IDIOT Steven Hoggett. I organise these two artists' extremely busy international schedules and deal with incoming enquiries from a multitude of companies and producers. This position provides me a unique and extremely valuable viewpoint on the production of some of the world's highest profile theatre productions, including west-end and broadway productions.

I am also producer for Glasgow-based theatre makers Enormous YES (www.enormousYES.com). I work with the company on creating, developing and delivering unique and exciting new theatre. This has included a number of productions at in Glasgow and further afield, including BONNY BOYS ARE FEW, heading to this year's Brighton Fringe and available for touring this autumn.

From 2012-13 I was Programme Administrator at the Tron Theatre, where I acted as the main point of contact between visiting companies and the Tron Theatre's staff in co-ordinating the theatre's busy programme across three spaces. In this role, I took a leading role in programming and producing the theatre's boutique MAYFESTO festival for the month of May. With upwards of 15 performances along side numerous rehearsed readings, workshops and events - I took a leading role in both searching for visiting companies and productions and co-ordinating the departments of the Tron in realising the festival.

Previously, I have worked with the National Theatre of Scotland as Production Assistant and Personal Assistant to Mr. Alan Cumming on their lauded one-man production of Macbeth in both Glasgow and New York City. The role involved organising Mr. Cumming's busy schedule, ensuring he could meet his many commitments as well as fully focus on rehearsals, co-ordinating press and public appearance requests and being the first point of contact for those who needed Mr. Cumming's time. A varied role, it encapsulated everything from organising dinner with the First Minister Alex Salmond and preparing Mr. Cumming for an appearance on Question Time to finding his favourite brand of Almond Milk...

As an independent producer, I have produced a whole range of events and productions at venues across Glasgow. This includes site specific work like THE READING ROOM PROJECT, evenings of scratch performance including THE PITCH and new writing events such as THEATRE UNCUT.

I also work as a casual technician at the Eastwood Park Theatre, and provide my services as a lighting designer to professional and amateur productions around the city.

Let's talk! If you have an idea and need a creative, experienced and personable producer to make it a reality then I'd love to hear from you.
