About me

CAITLIN SAYLOR STEPHENS—is a performer and playwright from Baltimore and New York City. In 2009, her play ‘Nesting’ was produced at SoHo Rep’s walkerspace by her company, TokenCollective. In 2010, she lived in Buenos Aires where she danced tango and wrote her second play, ‘Her Dying Art.’ Her other plays include: ‘All Over Me’ and ‘After the Bombing, My Heart Went Kaboom,’ which she is currently developing with performer Craig ‘Mums’ Grant. Caitlin recently wrote and work-shopped her new solo-duet show, ‘I Love Dead Things’ at The Exchange’s Orchard Project. The play will have a workshop in Dixon Place’s 2012 Season. She is currently co-creating an electro-pop musical with girl band Frances Rose called ‘When We Went Electronic.’ Caitlin has assistant directed for Dietch Project's The Citizens Band, worked with Wooster Group (Hamlet, Emperor Jones), assisted Robert Schenkkan and Tom Bryant (OSF's All The Way, and upcoming HBO mini-series), assisted Partial Comfort, performed with Bluemouth Inc. in their Dance Marathon at Incubator Arts Project and sang alongside Karen O in ‘Stop the Virgens’ at St. Ann’s Warehouse. She has done readings, workshops and performed at: SoHoRep, St. Ann’s Warehouse, Deitch Projects, LaMaMaEtc. And Studio42. She lives in New York City where she is exploring her identity as an artist through confessional storytelling, stage-portraiture and tango dancing. Proud member of the Dramatist’s Guild.
