I am an interdisciplinary media producer, artist, and researcher, though I was originally trained as a biologist and continue to work with scientific themes in my work. My projects often take form as radio, video, textiles, writing or academic research, and are usually inspired by my interests in the growing intersections between emerging technologies, biology, art, design and critical theory. I come from Toronto, Canada and recently moved to London. I have worked for the last several years as an educator (at universities and public institutions), radio producer (community, pirate, and freelance), assisted in television and film (from National Geographic to independent documentary), and in artist run centres.I have studied at the University of Amsterdam, Queen’s University (BSc. Hon. biology), Concordia University (Graduate Diploma Media/Communications), and Ontario College of Art and Design University (Interdisciplinary Master’s of Art, Media and Design). CURRENTLY - I am looking for collaborators who are passionate about playfulness, performativity, and public education for public media projects that include radio and video series about otherwise dense and at times inaccessible intellectual topics, like critical theory and philosophy.
