About me

Why is Seth Rogen on the set of the film I'm script supervising on? Oh no, wait, it was just a dream. There were signs that it was a dream: I was totally unprepared (Where is my copy of the script? Where are my notes? My camera? My stopwatch? For the love of God, where is my pen?!), writing info about the first 3 takes on sticky notes - and thankful that they were all cut early because apparently there's a problem with the camera (the film hasn't been loaded correctly, and for some reason it all comes pooling out in ribbons - ouch). Also the director was sitting menacingly in the corner, hating me so much before shooting has even begun that we weren't even introduced, and the producer was shouting out something about baked goods (holding up these cartoonish, bigger-than-your-head, sweeter-than-heaven cookies). Yup, definitely a dream. Although the last two things aren't too far off: on the last film I worked on, the playful nickname the director gave me was 'Harbinger of Doom', the one before that - 'BB Gun', and I have been fed mightily by most of the producers that I have worked for.
Before my alarm goes off, I've misplaced my bag on set and am frantically looking for it. I wake up and am eager to get back to sleep so I can find my bag and get back to work. Point being that even in a 'everything is going wrong' situation on set, it's still an awesome place to be.

I have an aptitude for daydreaming, but I'm choosing to carve a career out of writing, script development and continuity/script supervising:

Interest in short and feature-length screenplays, script development, comics and graphic novels. Development experience in script reading, editing and rewrites & synopsis and treatment writing.

First short comic, ‘Hide and Seek’ for the Dead Roots anthology, digital release October 2012 - available for download on iPhone, iPad and Kindle; hard copy release February 2014

3rd prize winner in ‘The Last Word’ competition at Southern Script Fest 2011 for short screenplay, Klepto.

An extract of MA final feature screenplay, The Sammy Khanna Fan Club, was performed at Bournemouth University’s screenwriting graduate showcase, March 2010, London.
