Founded in 2011, ARTStap is an Artist centered and non-profit platform. We are Ireland's Leading Publication, Network and Resource for the Contemporary Visual & Sonic Arts. Since being founded we have worked with leading national and international practitioners and arts organisations including RTE Radio 1 [ARENA], SOMA Waterford, Modisti, Soundfjord London, Crawford Art Gallery Cork, Farpoint Recordings and the Kerlin Gallery Dublin. This year [2012] we were shortlisted for the Irish Web Awards under Best Arts Website and Best Online Publication.
Journal
The ARTStap journal is published 3 times yearly and is non-thematic, it supports and engages with the work of leading and emerging international practitioners within their respective fields. Each issue features the work of invited artists as well as recipients of the ARTStap AWARDS [Online Makers AWARD, Title AWARD & Open Submission AWARD]. Most work is seen from the perspective of the artist themselves alongside texts focusing on contemporary art and its relation to a wider artistic, theoretical and social context. The ARTStap Journal has proved itself as a publication at the forefront of art criticism and practice by providing a voice for the practitioner. It is essential reading for all interested in the arts.
Network
The Network has become a Central Point for international Artists, Curators, Collectives, Galleries etc. to create their Professional Profiles, Post & search through the upcoming events & opportunities, search the funding microsite, enter the library and experience the latest issues of the ARTStap Publication. If you decide to upload your work to the network it will be reviewed in the monthly rounds of the MAKERS Award.
Resources
The ARTStap Platform offers a range of resources to its users and members from the various ARTStap Awards, the research library, the funding micro-site and the Notice Board displaying all the latest art announcements from Open Calls, Event Opening's, Prizes & Funds, Jobs & Opportunities to Residencies and you can post yours too. If that is not enough all this is then sent out monthly in the ARTStap E-Bulletin directly to all the thousands of members and subscribers.
The Franchise - Media Partnership Options
Based on the idea of creating a Franchise, the ARTStap Franchise program has been set up to help promote your event / exhibition / symposium etc. and bring what you do to the world. We advertise your event on the ARTStap website prior to your event opening which receives over 35,000 hits a day. We e-mail your events details out to our thousands of online users and subscribers, include an article in the following Issue of the ARTStap publication about how your event / exhibition / symposium went [min. 17,000 readers per issue] and to top it off we include the information and documentation of your event in our franchise database which remains there 'forever'. All we ask is for you to include our logo on all your promotional material.
