Afrodita Nikolova is a twenty-four-year old Macedonian poet currently doing an Mphil in Arts Education, Clare College, Cambridge University. Her poems were published in The Anthology of Young Macedonian Avant-garde Poetry (2012), and have been included in joint chapbooks. She's part of the editorial team of the literary booklet "Sh" a part of the magazine “Izlez”. She won the second prize in the first Macedonian Poetry Slam led by the German poet Michael Abdulai, Skopje, 2010.
The same year, her poetry manuscript won the award in honour of the late Macedonian poet Cedo Jakimovski and it was published in Macedonian. Her poems have appeared in English, in magazines such as The Cambridge Student; "Notes", the Oxford and Cambridge literary magazine; "Hatch" and "The Dial", 2012/2013. She has run Creative Writing workshops and made the poetry selection published in a small chapbook supported by the Cultural institution "Aco Shopov", Macedonia, 2012.
