A scene from the second edit of Mushrooms! ? ACT I Scene 1 A small hut in the forest. The interior is simple: a table, four chairs and heavy red velvet curtains covering up the only window. There are bottles scattered around the place - some of them full, others half-full. Two candles lighten up the table, and the rest of the room is plunged in a strange darkness. SIR: Let’s play a game. ICARUS: Will there be thinking involved? SIR: Maths, yes. ICARUS: Kra! Kra! SIR: Don’t worry brother, there’s plenty of time to learn! ICARUS: What are we playing? SIR: Black Jack. ICARUS: Teach me. SIR: Now, the rules are simple: I give you two cards, and you sum them up. If you have low cards, pick a new one. Say "stick", if you believe that you are close enough to 21 or if you have 21. They start playing the game. Eventually they have to show their cards...

About me

I'm a MA theater directing student at East 15 and have recently finished a BA Drama & Literature at the University of Essex. Currently working with Concierge Theatre on the production of Butterball (adapted from Guy de Maupassant's Boule de Suif).

Front of House 2012-2014 at the Lakeside Theatre, Colchester.
Assistant Coordinator for the Colchester Film Festival May-October 2013.
Freelance writer for the publishing house Frenetic Happiness (London & Paris), and published a short story for
The Institute of Social Hypocrisy's project entitled The Sound of Downloading Makes Me Want To Upload.
Lessons in Resurrection, May 2014 at Lakeside Theatre, a piece that I wrote and directed (mentored by Jonathan Lichtenstein and Rebecca Prichard).
I started a project called RI:SO theatre (Rites of Imagination: Surrealist Orectics). We had a rehearsed reading of "Mushrooms!" at the Lakeside Theatre May 26th 2013.
Fall of a Queen Bee, August/September 2012, a short play that I wrote and directed, and showed at The National Academy of the Arts in Oslo, Norway.
