About me

My name is Elizabeth Workman, i have currently finished studying BA Photojournalism at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts and I graduate in July 2012.

I have a strong background in both photography and arts, they intertwine naturally and photography could not survive without it. I am knowledgeable in the areas of imagery, music, fashion and style. I regularly conceptualize new and exciting creative ideas using a vivid imagination. As a freelance photographer I have completed assignments in special events, portraiture, conceptual art and commercial photography.

I have gained work experience with the Sunday times magazine picture desk, as a picture researcher. This allowed me to view the way in which a world-renowned picture magazine runs. Images play a huge role in society and to be able to seek out specific types of images is essential. As a photographer I have an extremely strong eye for captivating images. I have also gained experience on the university of the arts newspaper as a photojournalist. I acquired perspective in this role, as I had to meet with strict deadlines and image rules.

Photography has changed my life for the better; I was a failing school student with not much ambition and gusto for knowledge and life. Yet I have stumbled across the incredible profession and I have found my calling. I have worked across all borders of photography from baby portraiture to press conferences and fashion shows to festivals and charity photo stories, all areas of photography appeal to me. The type of photography I am particularly interested in is that of charity photography, I wish to use my camera to help others.

I am very passionate about music and the world we live in. Music is also a profoundly spiritual aspect of life and I aim to photograph the greatest artists alive along with trying to spread the message of giving back to society in order to create an even greater one. My journey into photography is just beginning; I am excited about the future and enthusiastic about what I have to offer. I adapt to every circumstance and see myself as extremely resilient and trustworthy. Photos are my life and I excel when performing in this field.
