  • I am so sorry! I have literally JUST seen your comment for advice, and I'm about a year and a bit late? Either way, general advice about short stories, the dialogue is what makes the story come alive, and I assume that the story is about ghetto life, you'll incorporate slang and things like that to capture that sense of realism?
    Another thing is, description is good. With it being about ghetto life, make the descriptions vivid, so that the reader can capture that essence.
