Originally from Ireland I am a portfolio dance artist and actor based in London. I am a self-confessed 'Renaissance' woman. I obtained a degree in physical theatre from Liverpool John Moores, before training at the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance (SSCD) in Dundee and London Contemporary Dance School. Since graduating in 2008 I have worked with The Weirdy Beardies, Katie Green, Off the Map, Cilgwyn Theatre Company, Animated State Dance Theatre Company, Iron Inc, Springs (understudy and R and D), Jessie Brett and Dancers, performed on Big Brother's Tiny Dancers task (2009) choreographed by Dani Larson and have been featured in Enchante's music video 'Swayne's Lane' choreographed by Jammila Johnson-Small to name a few.
As a choreographer I have been commissioned 3 times by SSCD (2008- 2009). As Artistic Director of Moxie Brawl, I was commissioned to create work for LOCATE festival in Richmond in July 2010 which was also selected to be peformed in Maximum Exposure festival in Ireland. I assisted Aletta Collins for The Place's 40th Anniversary show 'This is The Place' (2010) and most recently for Cocteau Voices at ROH2 (2011).
I have a great interest in inclusive practise and especially interested in developing technique for an integrated setting. I am an Associate Artist with Candoco Dance Company and led the youth company from 2008-2011. In 2006 I spent ten months with Scottish Dance Theatre, first as an apprentice and then shadowing Adam Benjamin during the creation and tour of 'Angels of Incidence'.
Having a keen interest in working in TV mixed with my love for dance, Lucy Field and I created Inside Dance, Britains first online contemporary dance show. We are currently editing the pilot. I blog for Article19 and have contributed for Bellyflop magazine.
