    Been baking in the hot hot sun! Didn't expect to be shooting outside much, but the cemetery that surrounds the shrine has actually turned out to be really interesting - people spend a lot of time tending the graves and socialising - its full of life. And its a better way of interviewing people since they're busy arranging flowers and cleaning - much better than stationary talking heads, and more relevant to the subject...

    I've just been to Portugal and had the chance to visit the location where I'll be making my next short film '6,000 Happy Endings' (which I won funding for through Ideas Fund Shorts). The film is about people's devotion to a little-known Catholic saint - read more about it here.
  • My work at the Open Prize 22-24 July

    Some of my films have been selected for the Open Prize and will be on exhibition from 22-24 July at the Nichols and Clarke warehouse on Bishopsgate. I'll be at the private view on the 22nd, come say hi!
