This footage was created for an interactive, immersive theatre experiment titled Crysis. The experiment is based on the idea of an ongoing social crisis. Two audience members are taken on a journey through different locations, using pervasive technology and cinematic character models. The participants have to work together to figure out cryptic clues, uncover hidden messages and take on the characteristics of "The Agent" and "The Detective". This will help them figure out who has leaked the information that has lead to the Crisis. The Film is of "The Boss" and is played to the audience members before they enter the immersive installation/performance space. This is my final project. it is called 'tree.' it was photographed by lukus robbins and created and sprayed by luke dolman..pierre. the piece focuses on the movement contained in growth, i wanted the camera to follow this same structure, so the picture goes from close and personnal shots which are less developed and look a bit 'sketchy', as apposed to the grounded perception the audience is given in the final selection of images. i'm no horticulturist but this is the impression plants give me, spontaniously projecting towards a source, which in the ealry stages of plant life can look vulnerable in contrast to such natural wonders as the californian redwood growing to 379.1 (tallest recorded) feet tall! these tree's also gave me the initail inspiration for the piece a year ago when i was watching a david attenborough episode on the subject of these giants. i would love to progress this piece further and play with the idea of seasons (because of the huge variation of colours to explore), or even change from this tree and create one on the side of a building. thanks for reading. peace.
