I am a Composer, Sound Designer and Jazz Pianist from Birmingham.

I divide my time between composing New Music, playing Jazz and Contemporary piano and researching ancient musical traditions from around the world. I have written music for Films, Installations, Dance and Theatre and I present my own radio show ‘The New Music Hour’ on London's 'Resonance FM' and Birmingham’s 'Scratch Radio' every week.

This year, my work has featured in the BBC Proms, at the Trinity Laban College of Dance, Gaudeamus Young Composers Meeting - Holland 2012, Supersonic Festival 2011, The New Art Gallery Walsall with George Shaw (paintings) and many more.

I love the infiltration that music can make into the everyday, and how it can challenge people to go beyond the ordinary. If you have a message that you want people to hear, maybe I would love to help you send it.

I am currently studying Composition with Howard Skempton, Joe Cutler, Michael Wolters and Ed Bennett at Birmingham Conservatoire. I studied piano with critically acclaimed british jazz pianist John Law.

I have worked with many ensembles, including The Schubert Ensemble (London), Orkest de Ereprijs (Netherlands), Chroma (Birmingham) and Rowland Sutherland (London) and I am a founding member of the Ostrich Box experimental electronic music collective in Birmingham.

I think my best asset is versatility. I will work with any instrumentation, from a rubber-band guitar to an orchestra, a packet of alker seltzer tablets to a circuit bend television....
