I am a 22 year old drama graduate with passion and ambition,
To complete my mission,
To become a theatre maker, actor and collaborator,
To one day quit my job in Marks and Spencer,
And for then on after…

Sustain a career out of the things that make me most happy,
And consequently proving to my family,
That the theatre is where I am meant to be.

For the last five months I have thrown myself into every opportunity,
Including travelling an hour for a script in hand performance, voluntarily,
Work experience with the BBC, a community theatre residency, Bristol Old Vic’s young company,
(An interview and an offer for front of house at the RSC),
But the chance to collaborate in producing innovative theatre is where I really want to be.

This is the way for connection and expression, in an entertaining way - not a lesson,
A chance to have your say, without societies confines getting in the way,
A chance to make a statement through images, movements and words,
A chance to be heard.

In the past year I have devised a solo performance of Helena from A Midsummer Night’s Dream,
Looking at film, theatre and audio only (speech),
I have devised and performed in Martin Crimps Attempts On Her Life,
Opening to the public for two consecutive nights.

Nothing excites me more than stepping on to a stage,
Devising work from a play or work which responds to change,
Not knowing if each night will be the same,
The rush of adrenalin pumping through your veins…

In the past year I have been been to New York City with University,
Watched Spiderman on Broadway, my best experience to this day.
I also somewhat watched the Wooster group -
I am ashamed to say I fell asleep part way through!
