I have a great appetite for excellent music. From my background of education in performing arts, music became my focus and then came my thirst for a career within the industry. I am not bound to one genre; I like a variety of musical arts, from opera to jazz and where I really do let my hair down is rock and roll.
Like many I started writing for online publications, drawing a portfolio of work and gaining a name for myself. This led to work experience in publishing houses and now my work for a music magazine, Fireworks. I am freelance in this area and do participate in work for other music editors. I have also had my own online radio weekly show. Where I had full creative rain and a hobby I enjoyed but worked hard at for a year or so, one I would like to stay a hobby,
and then sought after other passions
As you will see from my disciplines on my profile my passion is to fulfil a profession in live concerts. I have over three years of volunteer work in this area, my duties being artist liaison and production assistant being the foremost at large music festivals. But my biggest achievement was my need to craft my project Hellish Flare. Two years I held the project going from organising live concerts in Manchester at some of the biggest venues like Academy and Ruby Lounge, to completing full UK tours and aiding in a musicians progression. It is an extremely hard business to get into, which is why the need came to produce my own work experience. The constant waiting and applying for work experience was draining at times and repetitive, in the mean time I wanted to get my hands dirty and let out a creative outlet in music promotion.
