I'm an actor, writer, producer and director from the UK.

I'm a founding member and artistic director of Spherical Directions alongside Daniel McClelland. We've recently written and shot a four minute short film entitled '7934 Kilomètres Away' in North America. I'm currently writing a 60 minute multimedia play, which we plan to workshop through works in progress in 2015, before going on tour. We've also just finished co-writing the short film, 'Waiting For Lifts', which will be shot in 2015.

Prior to this, I consulted with the heads of departments at The Christie Hospital and wrote and directed 'The C Word', a play that brought real people's experiences of cancer to life through performance, with all proceeds going directly to The Christie.

Interested in real people, their lives and truths, much of my work tends to be in the form of verbatim theatre, or with verbatim techniques central to the research process.

I've also written, produced, performed and directed work for LittleLegs & LongLegs theatre company, to the delight of audiences and critics alike. I co-wrote and performed in 'Educated, Liberated & Vibrated... The Woman', a touching celebration of all that it is to be female, inspired by International Women's Day. 'The Woman' was a favourite at festivals for two years and opened Manchester Pride 2012.

As well as creating my own work I've also worked for many other companies and institutions. For example I worked as a Stage Manager for Ignition Stage on their critically acclaimed tour 'Fencing for Losers' and as a Theatre Festival Administrator on the Decibel festival, an Arts Council England initiative, produced by xtrax. I've worked in Higher Education in a range of roles including recruiting, training, supporting, tracking and managing 400 university volunteers, as well as creating, risk assessing and evaluating volunteer one-off events and longer-term projects. I have also organised, marketed and delivered soft skills workshops to university students and graduates and created several educational short films raising awareness about student volunteering. I write spoken word poetry in my spare time.
